The Jockey Cam debuts at LONGINES Hong Kong International Races 2018

The famous Hong Kong horse racing scene is an important and iconic event and venue for the city and its inhabitants.

Sunday’s event at Sha Tin racecourse drew 86,501 fans and takes place every December with fans flocking from all over the world with bets being taken in countries worldwide, HK$1.605 billion in total turnover.

There are four main races (the Cup, the Mile, the Sprint and the Vase) — with a combined worth of HK$93 million. Not only an event for a who’s who of racing but is also a who’s who of Hong Kong and China’s top socialites.

The Jockey Cam and Equine Productions were in Hong Kong this week for the big event and captured some amazing footage and was their first time at the races —

 

 

The Hong Kong International Races are loaded with excitement fitting with the world’s top racehorses and jockeys, the whopping HK84.5 million purse which is at stake, and not to mention the incomparable prestige of winning a coveted group 1 race.
